Git can be found in the EPEL (Fedora Project) complimentary packages repository. The command to install the package will be similar to the following user@computer:$ rpm -Uvh http://download.fedora.redhat.com/pub/epel/5/x86_64/epel-release-5-3.noarch.rpm Remember to sanity check this against your RHEL version… Odd error when running yum update on my slice. This appears to be a currently outstanding bug which can be worked around by issuing a user@computer:$ yum clean metadata or user@computer:$ yum clean all The former worked fine for me.
